The SDJFNL held its AGM in December, 2017. Saint Mary's JFNC would like to thank all those representatives from the various clubs whom have contributed to the organisation and running of the League.Special Thanks to Bree from AFLGM!
Out of the meeting, a decision was carried to align the Leagues Netball age groups to Netball Victorias age groups. Age groups for Season 2018 will be 11 and Under, 13 and Under and 15 and Under.
The AFL Goulburn Murray in June 2017 released a strategy survey document into the future directions of Junior Football, and this can be found here.
The Junior Football Future Directions draft has now been released and this can also be found here.
Saint Mary's has prepared a response to the proposal to change the football age categories for season 2019.
It's that time of the year again, and our Clubs AGM date has been set for Wednesday the 8th of November, 2017. The AGM will be held in the Sainters Club Rooms at Kings Park, Seymour at 7.30pm. If you wish to see your kids continue on at the great club that Saint Mary's is, then please attend and see if you can help out. We are always looking for Parents whom can contribute.

Two Saint Mary's Players represented the SDJFNL for the Goulburn Murray Representative squad whom played in the V/Line Cup at Traralgon. First game versing the Gippsland Power and the second versing the Bendigo Pioneers over two days. Very well done to Matty Collard and Lachie Aldous! - Both boys leanred a lot from the expeirence, with Matty named Captain of the GM2 squad and also recieved the Coaches Best player Award!
Great stuff Lachlan Aldous and Matt Collard, you did the club proud, and we look forward to some fine football from you both in U/16s next year.

Saint Mary's (SMJFNC) has a long and proud history of Junior Football and Netball development in Seymour.
The Seymour District Junior Football Netball League (SDJFNL) through AFL Goulburn Murray, governs the competition.
The SDJFNL teams for 2018 include:
Alexandra (Rebels), Broadford (Kangaroos), Euroa (Magpies), Seymour (Lions), St. Mary's (Saints),
Tabilk (Blues), Yea (Tigers) and we welcome the Wondong (Warriors).
(Puckarook/Tallarook is currently short on player numbers and has withdrawn from competition in season 2017. This may also occur in Season 2018.)
Age categories for the competition are:
Football - Under 10, Under 12, Under 14, and Under 16
Netball - Under 12, Under 14 (Division 1), and Under 16
Note: Netball age groups will change commencing season 2018 to:
- 11 Under, 13 Under, 15 Under (there may be divisions 1 & 2 in 13U and 15U for 2018)
Parent submitted photos and video images of games are most welcome!
Older images and tales of past players and team photos are also welcome.
